Rezon, Clips and Ultra in 40 seconds

A short teaser of every mode, including the Mac version. The full walkthrough opens with the button. It is in Russian.

Full walkthrough from October 5, in Russian: “Auto-editing in Premiere Pro: does it work? I tested it on 37 minutes of footage”. Rezon Clips, the Ultra mode and the Mac version came out after it. You'll find them in the teaser and in the sections below. Open on YouTube →

Three steps in a panel inside Premiere Pro

The Rezon panel opens right inside Premiere Pro. Nothing to export or upload. The screens below show another real project from the beta: 2 cameras, 22 minutes of footage.

Point it to your footage folder

Rezon finds the video and audio files on its own, subfolders included, tells cameras from microphones and suggests which audio should be the main one.

“Silence” finishes in seconds, no speech recognition. The full mode recognizes speech and finds repeated takes and restarts. Cut density is a single slider.

The sequence appears in Premiere Pro with all its tracks. If a cut lands right at the edge of a word, extend the clip by a couple of frames as usual. Working files are kept in a separate Rezon folder.

Not just silence. Rezon takes over the routine before the edit

Sync by audio

Two, three or seven cameras, lav mics and recorders, footage shot in several takes in a row. Rezon figures out what was recorded at the same time and puts each camera on its own track.

free

Silence removal

Four density presets, from gentle to tight. Tuned on hand-edited projects, not on a timer: the breath before and after a phrase stays, speech doesn't get clipped.

free

Ready sequence

Video and audio linked, cameras on their own tracks, channels split, 4K fitted into Full HD or vertical if needed. Open it and go straight to the fine cut.

free

Repeated takes and restarts

Recognizes speech and finds the places where you said the same thing twice or started a phrase over. Clear repeats are cut right away; unclear ones are left alone and marked on the timeline.

full version

Drawn-out “uhh” and “mmm”

Trims the “uhh” and “mmm” at the start and end of phrases. Only those sounds, not words from a list, so the meaning stays intact.

Your footage is never uploaded to any cloud. Internet is only needed for installation, updates and key activation. Speed depends on your graphics card, not on a server queue.

What people who tried it say

The first testers ran Rezon on their own projects. More reviews will be added as they come in.

What I liked most is that with two buttons it does the import, builds the timeline, syncs and cuts. The cameras matched by audio, no words got clipped at the joins, everything is neat. This is how I'll work from now on
IvanIvanvideo editor
Great plugin, it really saves up to 30% of the time on cutting and syncs cameras with audio perfectly. From now on I'll start every project with it
KirillKirillvideo editor
Gave Rezon a spin: one camera and separate audio, the plugin synced everything and cut it very fast. An hour-long source, it removed all the pauses, “uhh”s and breaths and made it 22 minutes shorter. Looks natural and pretty slick
AllcatrassAllcatrassvideo editor
Everything is intuitive, I figured it out on my own. Cut just right
DmitryDmitrytester from the US
Downloaded and installed it with no problems, got the hang of the interface right away. It really speeds up the work. I especially liked that there's a free Silence mode: you can try it at your own pace before buying
EvgenyEvgenyvideo editor and web‑developer
This is my second video with Rezon. Hour-long sources, the speaker often redoes lines, and Rezon is a lifesaver for me. It syncs everything fast, about 15-20 minutes. Everything is precise, the cutting is perfect. Once it cut a bit too much, but that was the only time. It saves a lot of working time, a real beast!
KatyaKatyapodcast editor
For talking videos with one or two people it's already excellent: it really saves time and makes starting a project much easier. With three speakers and three cameras, sync and pause cutting are pretty precise too. I'm also glad it's made in Russia: easy to install, nothing freezes, and the creator is reachable and can help

New mode, open beta

Rezon Clips: a batch of vertical videos with animated captions in minutes

A mode for vertical videos (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) in the same Rezon panel. It lays out a whole batch on one sequence and adds animated captions you can edit later in Premiere Pro like regular graphics. The clips come out finished, captions included, not as a rough cut.

Free
  • Camera and audio sync
  • All vertical videos on one sequence, with gaps and markers
  • Cutting obvious pauses
  • Safe-zone frames for Reels, Shorts and TikTok
  • Preview caption styles on your own frame
With a Rezon Clips key

A real result (in Russian): Rezon recognized the speech in this video and added the captions itself. Each phrase uses a different built-in style to show the range, and one phrase appears word by word. Tap the icon to hear the sound

Captions you barely need to fix

I took vertical videos I had edited for clients and compared the automatic captions with the ones I had proofread and corrected by hand. Same audio, same scoring for both. The test was done on Russian speech.

What it looks like in practice (translated from Russian)

Premiere Pro “...completely inert allergen and wonderful interaction with Dina” Rezon “...completely inert, hypoallergenic and interacts beautifully with the gum”
Premiere Pro “He to double-check it all 300 times at 02:00” Rezon “He will double-check it all 300 times at 2 a.m.”
How we measured

47 vertical videos from 5 client projects, 3,793 words, all in Russian. Reference: captions I proofread and corrected by hand. I made them starting from Premiere Pro's automatic captions, so if the comparison favors anyone, it's Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro used its built-in feature (Text, Transcribe, Create captions) with default settings, Rezon used the same audio on the graphics card. Wrong, missing and extra words were counted. Places where I deliberately left out captions were not counted. Rezon was more accurate in 40 of 46 clips (one had no speech). Measured on October 8, 2026, and double-checked with a second independent count.

Honestly

What Rezon doesn't do

This is a rough cut. It saves hours of routine but doesn't replace an editor.

  • It doesn't pick the best take by meaning. Clear repeats get cut; unclear ones are left to you, with markers on the timeline.
  • It doesn't strip filler words like “well”, “like” or “so” by a list. It trims drawn-out sounds at the edges of phrases, and words stay words.
  • It doesn't recognize English speech yet. Speech recognition in the full mode and in Clips captions is tuned for Russian. Sync and pause cutting in the free Silence mode work with any language.
  • It doesn't remove street noise in pauses. A short noise can't be told apart from a short word acoustically, and we don't pretend otherwise.
  • It can't hear what wasn't said clearly. If the speaker swallows an ending or says a phrase almost in a whisper, a cut may land at the edge of a word. It's rare, depends on the speech and the recording, and is fixed by extending the clip a couple of frames.
  • It doesn't run on Intel Macs. There is a Mac version (in beta for now), but only for Apple silicon (M1 or newer): speech is recognized on Apple graphics there. On Windows, any modern computer works.

Frequently asked questions

Windows says the file may be unsafe. What should I do?
The installer isn't signed with a certificate yet, so Windows is cautious about any downloaded archive. Before unpacking, right-click the zip, open “Properties”, tick “Unblock” and click OK. Then unpack it and run USTANOVKA.bat. Every step is shown in a 2-minute installation video (in Russian), and the same steps are in the read-me file inside the archive. You only do this once, on first install: after that the plugin updates itself with a button in the panel, and you never download the archive by hand again.
How do I install Rezon on a Mac?
Download the Mac installer. If you get an archive, double-click it to unpack, then open the installer app that appears. On first launch, macOS will say it can't verify the app: that's how it treats everything downloaded outside the App Store. Open “System Settings”, go to “Privacy & Security”, click “Open Anyway” and confirm with your password. You only need to do this once. The installer then downloads Rezon and the speech recognition model (about 3 GB) and connects the panel to Premiere Pro. You need a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) and macOS 14 or newer. The Mac version is in beta, like Rezon itself: every mode has been tested on Apple silicon Macs, but there are many Mac models and versions of macOS and Premiere Pro. If something goes wrong, write to me with a description and the log from the Rezon folder, and I'll fix it. Step by step: Mac installation (in Russian).
Is the plugin interface in English?
The plugin interface is in Russian for now. An English interface is coming in an upcoming update. The panel itself is simple: choose a folder, pick a mode, press start.
What does “open beta” mean?
Rezon already runs on real projects for me, the testers and the first buyers, and the free mode is stable. The full mode is being polished together with the first users: if something behaves oddly on your footage, write to me with a description and the log from the Rezon folder. That's the fastest way to get a fix. The first release version will be 1.0, and the update to it is free.
How is the full mode different from the free one?
The free Silence mode works by volume: it syncs the sources, cuts pauses and builds the sequence in seconds. The full mode also recognizes speech (on the graphics card on Windows, on Apple graphics on a Mac) and uses the text to find repeated takes, restarts and drawn-out sounds. A license key unlocks the full mode in the same panel. If you only need sync without cutting (a concert, music, a DJ set), that's free too: tick “Sync only”.
Premiere Pro can already remove pauses. Why Rezon?
It can: Premiere Pro's text-based editing lets you remove pauses and filler words in a sequence you've already built. Rezon does the work before that, and more of it. It finds all the cameras and microphones in a folder on its own, syncs them by audio, builds a sequence with tracks and cuts pauses on all cameras at once. In the full mode it also finds repeated takes and restarts where you said the same thing twice, and marks unclear spots with markers. The two don't get in each other's way: after Rezon you can finish the sequence with any Premiere Pro tools.
How many computers does a license key cover?
A license key is issued to one video editor. You can use it on your own work and home computers, but you can't pass it on to other people.
How do updates work?
The plugin updates itself with one button. When a new version is out, the panel shows a line about it and an update button: the plugin downloads the new version, checks it and replaces the files, and you just restart Premiere Pro. Your license key, settings and the downloaded speech recognition model stay in place and aren't downloaded again. Right now a purchase includes the beta and all 1.x versions. After 1.0 is out, a purchase will include a year of updates, and the plugin itself will keep working with no time limit. You can see what changed in each version on the What's new page (in Russian).
Can I buy Rezon from outside Russia?
Not yet, but soon. International payment is being set up. Leave your email and we'll write once it opens. The key doesn't depend on your country, and the free Silence mode works right now without one.
What is Rezon Clips?
It's a mode for vertical videos in the same Rezon panel: it lays out a batch of vertical videos on one sequence, adds animated captions that you can edit later in Premiere Pro, and comes with an icon pack and platform safe-zone frames. The clips come out finished with captions, not as a rough cut. There's nothing new to install: if you already have Rezon, update it with the button in the panel. The free part works without a key, the rest unlocks with a Rezon Clips or Rezon Studio key. Animated captions currently work only on vertical 9:16 sequences.
I have an AMD card or a laptop without a graphics card. Will it work?
Yes. The Silence mode doesn't depend on the graphics card at all and finishes in seconds everywhere. The full mode recognizes speech: with an NVIDIA card an hour of footage takes about 10 minutes, without one (AMD, integrated graphics, a laptop) the CPU recognizes the speech and an hour of footage takes about an hour. There's nothing to buy or configure: the plugin picks what to run on by itself. On an Apple silicon Mac, speech is recognized on Apple graphics.
Does Rezon recognize English or other languages?
Not yet. Speech recognition in the full mode is tuned for Russian: repeated takes, restarts and drawn-out sounds are found in Russian speech. The free Silence mode works by volume, so sync and pause cutting work for footage in any language.
Does Rezon work in DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or Final Cut?
No. Rezon is a panel inside Adobe Premiere Pro (25.6 or newer) on Windows and Mac, and it builds the sequence right in your Premiere Pro project. There's no version for other editing apps.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Try the free mode first: it installs from the same archive and shows whether Rezon works on your computer and your footage. If the full mode doesn't start after purchase, write to me and we'll sort it out together. If it can't be fixed within 7 days, you get your money back.
